Introducing the Spring 2025 Liberty Shirt Collection

Liberty fabrics are literally woven (and printed) into British history, from the first collections in 1877 showcasing the work of an up-and-coming designer William Morris through each subsequent decade, they have closely adhered to the ethos of the founder Arthur Lasenby Liberty who was “determined not to follow existing trends but to create new ones”
Cordings have been working with Liberty for decades now and a highlight the seasonal ladies’ development is always the meeting with Liberty Art fabrics, where Rosie Hooton our ladieswear buyer pops up Regent Street from Piccadilly to view the latest collection of inspirational designs, in the iconic surroundings of the Liberty store. She says “there is always so many incredible ideas, pulling the initial selection down to the final choices is always really difficult, but once we have decided, from this cloth selection, we then build our own stories and colour pallets that continues through to our seasonal tweeds and other fabrics. It is such a pivotal moment in the process”
Our Spring Summer 2025 collection, including crisp Tana Lawn and crepe silk is a typically strong collection, from the iconic Lodden to the bold Verve Pop, Rosie says “I feel there is something for everyone – classic Liberty, pretty florals and some bolder designs. My particular favourite (she was made to choose!) is the Shadow Stripe, it looks brilliant worn with a blazer and white jeans – such a fresh look and a clever twist on a classic striped shirt”
